Throughout his extensive service, Richard operated in global operational theatres and has held notable positions, including two years as a communications instructor at The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and roles within military intelligence.

Upon retiring from the Army in 2005, Richard transitioned to the private security sector, initially working as a bodyguard for Middle Eastern royal families and high-profile celebrities. In 2007, he founded Blue Diamond Security, where he rapidly expanded the business from a small startup to a thriving enterprise with an annual turnover exceeding £2.5 million.
